Most of the treatments are time consuming and that is why parents are usually required to help with treatment. There are exercises assigned to parents to help the children with from home. This shortens the learning process.

Stuttering is also a condition that needs to be treated. It is a condition that starts during childhood but may develop during adulthood as well. People that stutter are taught behavioral modifications that in turn control the stutters. Most importantly, the individuals have to be taught to control their rate of speaking. Speaking in a slower and fluent way would be very helpful.

Swallowing problems will also need to be treated in a similar way. Exercises are recommended to assist in making the mouth strong and increasing movement of the tongue. There are various other ways of treating speaking problems.
