Information Concerning Lifeguard Swimsuits For Women

By Lila Bryant

Swimsuits are articles of clothing intended for wearing when involved in water-based exercises like surfing, diving, skiing, swimming, and water polo. They can also be worn when sun bathing or during showcasing activities such as beauty contests and bodybuilding. Lifeguard swimsuits for women have very different designs from those of kids and men. This makes identifying an individual as female or male from a distance easy.

Current swimsuits differ from one another in several aspects including material, cost, size, design, and body coverage. One may choose a style depending on personal preference and modesty standards in the community. Bikinis, one-piece, and thongs are the main descriptions used on these pieces of cloth. The original appearance of the garment remains the same even though there are modifications in trends, length and cut.

Most lifeguard swimsuits cover pubic hair, buttocks and genitals. The only type that leaves the buttocks exposed is the thong. The shoulders, head, lower regions of legs, and arms are left uncovered in most western styles. The nipples and most of the breast are also covered in most designs, although the upper part may be removed to expose more flesh in some designs. Some people choose not to put on the upper part of the garment.

There are designs that cover all the body too. Such designs are meant for wearing when swimming in very cold water. The swimsuit is necessary in such conditions to protect the body from hypothermia by conserving body heat. The person employing the suit may also have additional gear to help with conserving heat during rescue missions. Some are sold with dark sun glasses to protect the lifeguard from direct sunlight while at work.

Most suits are made with bright colors to allow the wearers to be easily noticeable. White and red are the conventional colors although current trends are incorporating more color shades. The traditional colors may be stripped or plain. The color is normally similar on both pieces if they are two. This leaves them even simpler to distinguish from the crowd of swimmers on beaches.

These products are available in a wide spectrum of sizes to accommodate people of varying body sizes. Manufacturers also accept orders for customized products from customers. To help lifeguards or ease the process of swimming during rescue assignments, some products incorporate pads. The pads are very slim and run throughout suit. Sinking is impossible when the suit if worn correctly. Pads are placed between two fabrics and are partially water-proof.

The fabric used to make the product is normally tough and of high quality to prevent it from tearing when one is highly engaged in activity. Most fabrics are tight while ensuring a high degree of flexibility. One cannot get fatigued regardless of the length of time they wear the garment. The low weight of the fabric makes movement easy. The fabric does not soak water too.

The price of a suit varies with fashion, presence of pads, size, quality, manufacturer, and design among other factors. Low quality designs are cheap and can be found easily while the high quality ones are hard to get and expensive. Choice should be determined by the features desired.
